About the Role

We are seeking a highly driven and strategically focused Business Development Manager to support growth initiatives within a rapidly expanding global renewable energy and clean technology organization. This role will play a key part in identifying new market opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding the organization’s presence across international energy markets.

The Business Development Manager will contribute to the company’s mission of accelerating the transition toward sustainable energy solutions by identifying commercial opportunities across renewable energy infrastructure, clean power technologies, and innovative energy storage systems. As the global energy industry undergoes a significant transformation driven by decarbonization initiatives and growing demand for sustainable power sources, this role will help position the organization at the forefront of renewable energy innovation.

Working closely with senior leadership, engineering teams, project development specialists, and strategic partners, the Business Development Manager will help build relationships with key stakeholders across utilities, infrastructure investors, government agencies, and large commercial energy consumers. The role will involve identifying potential partnerships, supporting strategic deal negotiations, and contributing to the expansion of renewable energy projects across regional and international markets.

This position will also support the development of market entry strategies that help the organization expand into new geographic regions and emerging clean energy sectors. The Business Development Manager will analyze industry trends, evaluate competitive landscapes, and develop commercial strategies that strengthen the organization’s market position.

In addition to identifying new business opportunities, the Business Development Manager will play a key role in strengthening existing customer relationships and ensuring that the organization continues to deliver value to its clients and partners. This includes collaborating with internal teams responsible for project execution, engineering design, and operational management to ensure that business development initiatives align with operational capabilities.

The ideal candidate will bring experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or commercial growth roles within industries such as renewable energy, infrastructure development, clean technology, or energy services. This individual must possess strong relationship-building skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to navigate complex deal environments involving large-scale infrastructure projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities within renewable energy infrastructure and clean technology markets.

• Develop strategic partnerships with utilities, energy developers, infrastructure investors, and corporate energy buyers.

• Support negotiations for project development agreements, power purchase agreements, and strategic energy partnerships.

• Conduct market research and industry analysis to identify emerging opportunities in renewable energy sectors.

• Collaborate with engineering and project development teams to evaluate the technical feasibility of new energy initiatives.

• Develop commercial proposals and presentations for potential partners and clients.

• Support the expansion of renewable energy projects across domestic and international markets.

• Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, regulatory bodies, and industry partners.

• Track market trends related to clean energy policy, infrastructure investments, and energy technology innovations.

• Assist senior leadership with strategic planning initiatives related to market expansion and revenue growth.

• Develop performance reports and pipeline forecasts related to new business development initiatives.

• Represent the organization at energy conferences, industry events, and strategic partner meetings.


Job Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Energy Management, Economics, Engineering, or related discipline.

• MBA or advanced degree in business strategy, infrastructure development, or energy management preferred.

7–10+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or commercial strategy roles.

• Experience working within renewable energy, infrastructure development, clean technology, or energy services industries.

• Strong understanding of renewable energy markets, including solar, wind, energy storage, or grid infrastructure.

• Experience supporting complex commercial negotiations involving large-scale infrastructure projects.

• Strong analytical capabilities for evaluating market opportunities and investment potential.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, and project development groups.

• Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with external partners and stakeholders.

Compensation & Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package designed to attract experienced commercial growth professionals.

Total Compensation Package: $225,000 – $310,000
