As the organization continues to scale, operational discipline across internal shared services, enterprise support functions, performance governance, and client delivery enablement is critical to sustaining growth and profitability.

We are seeking a strategic Head of Business Services to lead enterprise-wide shared services architecture, operational efficiency programs, performance alignment, and service delivery excellence, fully remote within the United States.

This is not a departmental oversight role. This is a cross-enterprise operational governance mandate.


Job Function

The Head of Business Services will oversee internal shared services functions, including finance operations, HR services, procurement, facilities coordination, IT support alignment, vendor governance, and enterprise performance infrastructure.

This executive ensures the firm’s internal operational backbone enables scalable client delivery and sustained profitability.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and lead the enterprise shared services operating model across national teams

  • Oversee finance operations, HR services, procurement governance, and IT service coordination

  • Establish service-level agreements (SLAs) and internal performance metrics

  • Drive cost optimization initiatives across corporate services functions

  • Implement process automation and digital workflow improvements

  • Strengthen vendor management and contract negotiation frameworks

  • Align business services strategy with consulting delivery requirements

  • Oversee enterprise-wide operational risk management initiatives

  • Develop KPI dashboards tracking efficiency and service quality

  • Support resource allocation and workforce capacity planning

  • Lead cross-functional operational reviews with executive leadership

  • Present performance reports and improvement plans to executive leadership


Strategic Support

  • Advise the COO and the CEO on enterprise scalability and service efficiency

  • Support firm expansion into new domestic markets

  • Contribute to post-acquisition integration of shared services infrastructure

  • Align operational frameworks with long-term profitability strategy

  • Strengthen governance processes supporting investor and stakeholder confidence

  • Guide digital transformation initiatives across internal service platforms


Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive business services or operations leadership experience

  • 8+ years within consulting, professional services, or large enterprise environments

  • Proven track record in building scalable shared services organizations

  • Strong financial and operational analytics capability

  • Experience leading distributed, national support teams

  • Demonstrated success in cost management and operational transformation

  • Experience implementing service governance frameworks

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred

Working Conditions

  • Fully Remote – United States

  • Periodic domestic travel for executive planning sessions (15–20%)

Compensation & Benefits

Total Executive Compensation Package: $280,000 – $395,000 USD
