As automation demand accelerates and production volumes scale nationally, we are seeking a strategic Head of Operations to architect enterprise-wide operational governance, manufacturing performance optimization, supply chain resilience, and execution alignment, fully remote within the United States.

This is not a site-level plant management role. This is a national-scale operational leadership mandate.


Job Function

The Head of Operations will oversee enterprise operations strategy, including manufacturing oversight, supply chain governance, logistics coordination, quality assurance alignment, performance management, and operational risk mitigation across distributed facilities and national teams.

This executive ensures operational scalability, efficiency, and profitability while supporting rapid enterprise growth.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Define and execute an enterprise-wide operations strategy aligned with production scale objectives

  • Oversee distributed manufacturing and assembly network performance

  • Drive supply chain optimization and vendor governance initiatives

  • Implement operational KPIs focused on throughput, quality, and cost efficiency

  • Lead production planning and capacity modeling initiatives

  • Strengthen quality assurance and compliance governance frameworks

  • Manage operational budgeting and cost containment strategies

  • Oversee inventory management and logistics performance standards

  • Guide digital operations transformation through automation and data analytics

  • Identify and mitigate operational risks tied to production and supply volatility

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Finance, and Sales teams

  • Present operational performance updates to executive leadership and the Board


Strategic Support

  • Advise the CEO on national manufacturing expansion and capacity planning

  • Support entry into new vertical markets requiring operational scaling

  • Contribute to M&A due diligence for manufacturing or supplier acquisitions

  • Align operational infrastructure with long-term growth strategy

  • Strengthen ESG and sustainability initiatives within manufacturing operations

  • Support federal and enterprise contract readiness initiatives


Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • 18+ years of progressive operations leadership experience

  • 8+ years within manufacturing, robotics, aerospace, or advanced industrial sectors

  • Proven track record in managing large-scale distributed production operations

  • Strong expertise in supply chain governance and production optimization

  • Experience leading national-level operational transformation initiatives

  • Demonstrated success in improving operational efficiency and profitability

  • Strong understanding of regulatory and quality compliance standards

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced engineering degree preferred

Working Conditions

  • Fully Remote – United States

  • Periodic domestic travel to manufacturing facilities and executive planning sessions (20–30%)

  • High-accountability role tied to production and operational performance KPIs

  • Executive-level reporting visibility

  • Collaboration across distributed national operations teams


Compensation & Benefits

Total Executive Compensation Package: $310,000 – $400,000 USD
