About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Vice President, Business Legal Affairs, to lead the organization’s global legal and commercial affairs function within a multinational media and digital entertainment company delivering premium content, streaming platforms, and intellectual property-driven experiences to audiences worldwide.
The Senior Vice President, Business Legal Affairs, will serve as a senior legal executive responsible for overseeing complex commercial agreements, intellectual property matters, corporate governance issues, and regulatory compliance associated with global media production, distribution, licensing, and digital content platforms. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that the organization’s business operations, partnerships, and commercial activities are supported by strong legal frameworks and risk management practices.
As the media and digital content industry continues to expand across streaming platforms, international markets, and evolving distribution channels, organizations require strong legal leadership to manage complex contractual relationships and regulatory environments. The SVP will help ensure that these agreements support the organization’s long-term growth objectives while protecting legal and financial interests.
The role will oversee global legal teams responsible for contract negotiation, intellectual property protection, compliance management, and legal advisory services for business operations. These teams will collaborate with internal departments, including production, distribution, finance, marketing, and technology to ensure legal alignment across the company’s activities.
A major responsibility of the role involves negotiating and structuring complex commercial agreements with production partners, distributors, streaming platforms, and international licensing partners. Job Qualifications and Requirements
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed attorney in good standing within a recognized legal jurisdiction.
• 18–20+ years of progressive legal leadership experience in corporate or entertainment law.
• Minimum 10+ years in senior legal leadership roles within media, entertainment, or technology organizations.
• Extensive experience negotiating high-value commercial agreements and intellectual property contracts.
• Strong knowledge of international media regulations and digital content licensing frameworks.
• Experience managing global legal teams and complex corporate legal environments.
• Proven track record advising executive leadership on legal strategy and risk management.

Compensation & Benefits
Total Compensation Package: $330,000 – $480,000
